4. Bodegas El Lagar De Isilla
El Lagar de Isilla Winery began in 1995 in Ribera del Duero, rooted in a 15th-century underground cellar beneath the Lagar de Isilla restaurant in Aranda de Duero. There, at a depth of 12 meters, the Zapatero Pinto family produced their first 50,000 bottles, laying the foundation for today’s 250,000-bottle annual production.
Their success led to the creation of the Enological Complex in La Vid, featuring a winery, gourmet shop, and hotel on a historic 1890 estate. In recognition of their contributions, the Zapatero Pinto family received the Enotourism Merit Award from Rutas de Vino de España.

López Cristóbal Winery is located in Roa, home to the Ribera del Duero Regulatory Council. The winery retains the structure of its former agricultural estate, with a 2005 addition of an early 20th-century flour mill, a classic example of industrial architecture built from stone, Mudéjar brick, and wood.
Committed to minimal intervention, López Cristóbal follows a vineyard-first philosophy, ensuring respectful winemaking and optimal ageing in French and American oak barrels. As Galo López Cristóbal puts it, their wines offer immediate enjoyment while gaining complexity with age, always reflecting the authenticity and essence of the vineyard.

Bodegas y Viñedos Tamaral is located in Ribera del Duero’s Golden Mile. Since 1997, this family-owned winery has focused on producing quality wines that reflect the region’s terroir.
Our 70 hectares of vineyards span four unique plots, complemented by partnerships with local viticulturists. Recently, we transitioned to organic farming, eliminating harmful treatments to protect the soil, flora, and fauna. Sustainability is key, with renewable energy sources like solar panels supporting our operations.
With a focus on quality over quantity, we process a maximum of 500,000 kilos of grapes annually and continuously update our French and American oak barrels. Our investment plan aims to position Tamaral among Ribera del Duero’s top 30 wineries while preserving our core identity.

We are committed to the terroir, the preservation, and maintenance of century old ungrafted vines. We work with native varieties such as Malvasía Castellana, Verdejo, Tinta de Toro (Tempranillo), and Garnacha.
Most of our vines are old, trained as bush vines, and we carry out manual harvesting in small crates, with yields around 800/1,000 kilos per Acre, resulting in wines of the highest quality.

Bodegas Traslascuestas is part of Grupo Piérola, a family with over 120 years in the wine industry. Starting in the vineyards, the Fernández de Piérola family has established four wineries across three of Spain’s top wine regions.
At 900 meters of altitude, our vineyards benefit from unique soil and climate conditions, producing wines with distinct character and regional elegance. Committed to sustainability, we rely entirely on geothermal energy, using 20 underground wells at a depth of 100 meters to harness the earth’s natural heat.
